Lessons terms

These terms cover private breathing lessons taught by Paul Blaikie and sold by Olevity Limited, a company incorporated in Hong Kong (Business Registration No. 80366672; registered office: Unit 2904-05, 29/F, Universal Trade Centre, 3 Arbuthnot Road, Central, Hong Kong) (“Olevity”, “we”). By booking or paying for a lesson you agree to them. The Olevity app has its own Terms of Use.

1. What you are buying

• Single lesson — one session of 60 minutes in person or 50 minutes online.
• Course of four — four sessions of the same length, booked one at a time.

Lessons teach the Oxygen Advantage® breathing method. Prices are shown in Hong Kong dollars on the lessons page at the time of booking. A course of four includes, as a gift, the course currently sold in the Olevity app; the gift covers that course only and is activated by us after your purchase.

2. Booking and payment

• Single lessons are paid in full when you book, through our booking page and Stripe.
• A course is paid in full before the first session, through a Stripe payment page or, if you prefer, by FPS, PayMe or bank transfer agreed with us by email. Your private booking link is sent once payment has arrived.
• Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card details.
• Prices may change; the price you paid is the price you keep for sessions already purchased.

3. Moving or cancelling a session

• You can move or cancel any session free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice, using the link in your booking email or by emailing us.
• With less than 24 hours’ notice, or if you do not attend, the session counts as used.
• If we have to cancel, you will be offered a new time or, for a single lesson, a full refund.
• Online sessions start at the booked time; if you join late the session still ends at the scheduled time.

4. Course validity

Course sessions are valid for ten weeks from the date of purchase. Sessions not taken within that time lapse, unless we have agreed an extension in writing beforehand (for example, for illness or travel — just ask).

5. Refunds

• Courses: within 14 days of purchase, unused sessions are refundable pro rata. Any session already taken is charged at the single-lesson price and deducted from the refund. After 14 days, unused course sessions are not refundable, but they can be moved within the validity period.
• Single lessons: refundable in full if cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice; otherwise not.
• Refunds go back to the original payment method. Card refunds usually show within 5–10 working days.
• If a course is refunded, the app-course gift is withdrawn at the same time.

6. Suitability and safety

Some breathing exercises, particularly breath holds, are not suitable for everyone. Before the first session we ask screening questions about your health; please answer them honestly and tell us about any change during your course. We may adapt or decline exercises, or suggest you speak to your doctor first. That is a normal part of coaching and does not affect your right to a refund under section 5.

7. Not medical treatment

Lessons are coaching in a skill for general wellness. They are not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment and do not replace care from a doctor or other clinician. Readings taken during a lesson, such as a BOLT score, are coaching measures, not clinical measurements. If you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.

8. Your information

What we record about coaching clients, where it is kept and for how long is set out in the Privacy Policy, under Private lessons and coaching clients.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, our total liability to you in connection with lessons is limited to the amount you paid for the sessions concerned.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the Hong Kong courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
